Reactivity Training

There’s no one size fits all training plan for reactivity. Our reactivity program is designed to be tailored to your individual dog and has helped many dogs and owners overcome their struggles with reactivity.

It’s important to find out what’s motivating your dog’s reactivity before beginning any training, so the first step is a 121 session in your own home. Your dog will be assessed at our initial session, and you’ll receive a follow up report and training plan tailored to your dog's individual needs. You’ll also receive our reactivity pack, which has everything you need to know to manage your dog's reactivity and help them learn new behaviours.

All dogs (and humans) are individuals but, on average, our reactive clients require an initial 121 session plus 1 or 2 follow up sessions before proceeding to one of our specialised reactivity sessions. We recommend booking our six hour training and behaviour package to get you started.

After your 121 sessions, we offer two specialised reactivity sessions designed to meet the specific training needs of your dog:

Reactivity Group Class - this weekly class will help you perfect your handling skills in a controlled environment and get your dog used to being around other dogs, without reacting to them.

Meet and Greet with Elio - for some dogs, meeting another dog in a controlled environment can really fast track their progress. After a carefully managed introduction most dogs can be introduced to our wonderful stooge dog, Elio who is a master of dog-to-dog communication and socialisation.
